After-the-Draw Update

After-The-Draw Update: Mega Millions Drawing on October 2, 2026

A comparison of the latest certified draw with the previous drawing, highlighting number range distribution and parity changes.

The October 2 drawing contained one lower-range number — 6 — no middle-range numbers, and four upper-range numbers — 37, 40, 41, and 55.

By comparison, September 29 contained two lower-range numbers, two middle-range numbers, and one upper-range number. That moved the distribution from 2 low / 2 middle / 1 high to 1 low / 0 middle / 4 high. The most visible change was the disappearance of the middle range and the concentration of four of the five main numbers in the upper portion of the field. Pasted text

There were also no repeated main numbers between the two consecutive drawings. Pasted text

Parity changed more modestly. September 29 produced two odd and three even main numbers, while October 2 produced three odd and two even, reversing the slight even majority from the previous drawing into a slight odd majority. Pasted text

The internal spacing also changed. October 2 produced gaps of 31, 3, 1, and 14, compared with 5, 1, 11, and 37 on September 29. The latest drawing combined a large opening separation between 6 and 37 with a much tighter upper-range grouping, including the consecutive pair 40 and 41. Pasted text

Taken together, the October 2 drawing presented a distinctly different structure from September 29: the middle range disappeared, four main numbers concentrated in the upper range, parity shifted slightly toward odd numbers, and a tight 40–41 pairing appeared within an otherwise varied spacing pattern. These observations describe the completed drawings and do not establish a longer-term trend.
